Table in stainless steel, mat and chromium plated structure, acrylic tops.
For Edra the australian architects Denton, Corker and Marshall realized a chair and a table, originally designed for one of their significant creations, the Hotel Adelphi in Melbourne. The two so-called Adelphi pieces are representative of the studio's architecture: a smart minimalism, with refined effects of materials and colours. The chair, with its structure of steel and seat of opaline plastic, resembles, in its thin profile, a folded sheet of paper, offering the simple elegance of a gesture. The stainless steel table is built with a stainless steel top, characterized by a particularly thin thickness, almost incorporeal. By means of small and almost invisible pins, on the top can be applied sheets in glazed , opaque or transparent, with a range of natural colours, producing a table-cloth effect. Then the simple design acquires a new sensible property, that softens its image.
