Biography
Born in Alcazar, Spanish Morocco, and raised in Barcelona, Spain, Bouzaglo showed natural talent for design even as a child. In 1973, at the age of 14, he was already working in his uncle's architectural firm. He studied with Jean-François Zevaco, the renowned French architect. He carried out several projects in different countries (design concept for a palace / design for an airport boutique in Casablanca) and turned towards commercial design layout and interior architecture while also teaching design. In 1988, he founded CREAR, a firm specialized in design that has clients the world over. He became the exclusive designer for the "Cerruti 1881" shops in Paris, which were so successful that he went on to create 17 more in cities that include Kobe, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Dusseldorf, Porto, London, Peking, Madrid, Singapore and Toronto. He also created designs for the NINO CERRUTI boutiques in Tokyo, Hiroshima, New York, not to mention the GIORGIO EMPORIO boutique in Toronto. A great lover of design, Bouzaglo creates comprehensive commercial concepts: image, furniture, ambiance, reception, right down to the smallest objects defining the space.
