The new models from Cor - Yuca (Studio Vertijet), Jalis, Rawi (Kleene & Assmann) and Kelp (Cor+ Karsten Weigel) in its new form will also be premiered at imm cologne 2010.
Jalis
January 2010. The Stuttgart-based designers Jehs + Laub already acquired a permanent place in the Corcollections in 2008 with the strict geometry of their Cuvert seating furniture range. Now they have developed a new world from the basic shape of the cushion, creating diversity from one form: Jalis, taken from the Arabic, is the magical word for relaxed communication, comfortable in any circumstances. Cushions side by side – like stories told one after another.

Kelp
The popularity of Kelp, the continuous upholstered furniture (design: Cor+ Karsten Weigel), is growing constantly. Changeable and variously configurable, it can take on almost any shape, be used in any room and adapt to fit all manner of floor plans. But the multi-talent always presents itself at its best – and it surprises in 2010 with an open base and reduced seating depth. Elegant, delicate steel runners make it appear to float while at the same time emphasising the unity of the surfaces. The armrests in three variants provide even more comfort. The cover materials available are first-class fabrics and leather – a further quality feature that characterises the beauty and longevity of the Cor collections.

Rawi
Stories are best heard while leaning back in a cosy atmosphere. The Rawi (Arabic: storyteller) easy chair and sofa range is an invitation to do precisely that. The easy chair comes in three variants – on a swivel X-base, on legs or with runners. The extremely comfortable sofa, available in three widths, has adjustable seats and backrests whose fine mechanisms remain concealed. The seat cushions can be pushed forward by shifting body weight, and the backrest cushions follow suit. The result is a more relaxed sitting position. No less appealing than these functions is the visual design of the furniture body itself.

Yuca
It looks like a spatial sculpture, at once experimental and inviting, rotatable and completely covered. The Yuca easy chair, designed by Studio Vertijet, is reminiscent of a softly rounded cup of petals, appearing to grow out of thin air. It stands on a metal X-shaped base which is chrome-plated or lacquered. The result is a perfect shape brimming with flexibility and seating comfort. The Yuca chair is also for people who need space and are at peace with themselves. The chair is rotatable, extremely comfortable and rests on a strut with an X-based which can be chrome-plated or lacquered. High-quality strapping ensures excellent comfort in the seat and the backrest.
